Edge of the World chronicles a season in the life of Mitch Davis, portrayed by Trevor St. John (Roswell, New Mexico; Containment; Vampire Diaries; One Life to Live). Davis has a winning history as the Boys Ranch cross-country coach. Admired for his leadership with at-risk young men, he is well respected by his peers. But, since a devastating personal loss, Davis has not been the same. As he leads a new team of young athletes, Coach Davis must find the strength to heal and once again empower the youth who need him most.

In art, as in life, cross-country is a strong athletic tradition at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch. The Roughriders began competing in the sport in 1981, and have legacy of strength, winning district championships every year since then. The movie showcases this on-track success and the personal struggles Boys Ranch student athletes battle in their personal lives.

This is the first feature-length film about Boys Ranch since the 1946 release of the same name. Filming took place in the summer of 2015. Directed by Lubbock native Randy Redroad, Edge of the World features the talents of veteran actors Richard T. Jones (The Rookie, Wisdom of the Crowd, Criminal Minds) and Texas Panhandle native Rex Linn (Better Call Saul, Lethal Weapon, CSI: Miami), along with rising stars Will Meyers, Megan Dalby, Jonathan Daviss, Juan Martinez and Noah Alford.

Edge of the World earned numerous awards in 2018, including Best Film at the Frame4Frame Film Festival, the Higher Love Award at Fort Worth Indie Showcase and Best Family Film at the Queen Palm Film Festival. Nominations include Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Screenplay at the International Christian Film Festival and Best Cinematography at the Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema.
